National Award winner Vetrimaaran has been signed on to direct a Hindi film, which will star Dhanush in the lead. The movie will be coproduced by Aanand Rai and Dhanush, himself. It is to be noted that Aanand Rai directed Dhanush’s maiden Hindi venture – Raanjhanaa.
Sources close to Vetrimaaran inform us that the scripting for the film has already begun and is based on a novel. The starting date should be confirmed by February.
Meanwhile, Vetrimaaran, already has two projects in Tamil lined up, of which one is with Cloud Nine Movies, apparently titled Vengaisaamy with Dhanush in the lead.
We will keep you informed on which project the director would take up first.
